SELICHOT - "A CANTOR'S TALE"

Saturday evening, September 12, at 9:00 p.m.

Is there a place for the tradition of Eastern European Jewish cantorial music in contemporary America? "A Cantor's Tale" is a film that warmly portrays the life of Cantor Jack Mendelson, a celebrated teacher and practitioner of Jewish liturgical music. The film takes a nostalgic journey through family, neighborhood, and tradition.

Following their messages and an "oneg", we will observe Selichot, a time of spiritual preparation on the Saturday night preceding Rosh Ha'Shanah.
